Job description: Nurses Etc. Staffing is looking for a skilled Travel Registered Nurse – NICU to join our dedicated team at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, with a passion for caring for the most vulnerable newborns and make a difference in the lives of infants and their families.Shift: FT Nights (7pm-7am)
Contract Type: Travel Nurse
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Requirements: Education/Skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Active RN License (state of employment or compact)
- BLS Certification – Required
- NRP Certification (at hire for experienced nurses; within 60 days for new grads)
- STABLE Certification (must be obtained within 30 days for experienced nurses; within 4 months for new grads)
Preferred Experience:
1 year of NICU or related experience preferredResponsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill newborns.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess patient progress.
- Educate and support families during their NICU journey.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.
- Maintain compliance with patient safety protocols and healthcare regulations.
Work Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Must be available for full-time work during this shift.
Compensation:
- Competitive travel nurse compensation- Travel Stipend applicable for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius of the hospital.
