Strathclyde Postgraduate Research International Scholarship, 2020-21

The university of Strathclyde is a research university that was established in 1796 as the Andersonian Institute. The university is located in Glasgow, it’s the third-largest university in southland by the number of students with over 23,000 students from more than 100 countries, one of the top 20 united kingdom’s research university and the only university to be awarded the UK-wide award two times.

Strathclyde University offers every year, scholarships to international students who want to undertake the postgraduate, research-level program in the field of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Physics in the university.

This Micromechanics of cracking of clay subjected to air drying and/or gas breakthrough Ph.D. Is a full-time study that will last 3 years and aims to investigate the mechanisms at the micro/particle scale underpinning the process of crack formation in clay subjected to air drying and/or gas breakthrough.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be qualified for this scholarship, applicants must have achieved first-class or upper second class honors in a relevant degree (Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering) or an equivalent qualification at master’s level, and prove that they are motivated to undertake multidisciplinary research).

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS:

The scholarship covers full Ph.D. Tuition fees for 3 years and a stipend of £15,285 (tax-free) per year.

International applicants have to possess the ability to provide proves and pay the difference between the United Kingdom home fee and the international fee.
